Thanks to all your encouragement, I have gotten up early and walked for 16 days in a row. I'm estimating that I walk about 2 miles, maybe a little more. It takes me about 35-40 minutes, half uphill and half down hill. I'm really proud of myself. I haven't lost more than a couple pounds on the scale, but I do feel more in shape. It gets those endorphins running around and when I get home I'm totally ready for the kids to wake up and get going on the day. How's everyone else doing?

P.S. With my weekend trip to Phx, I'm afraid I won't be able to walk. But I will start right back up when I get home. Any pointers?

That's great, Jean! A "couple pounds" in 16 days ain't too shabby at all.

No law says you have to walk every single day, of course. So the trip to Phoenix shouldn't put too much of a crimp in your scheme. Though there are always things you can do to take up the slack, like taking the stairs instead of the elevator if you'll be at a hotel, etc.

Congrats, Jean! Keep up the good work!

Walking is a great way to get in shape, and even if you don't lose a whole lot of weight, you will notice yourself getting toned up.

Are you taking music with you? That's always a good energy booster.
