Hi Royd,
Made a last minute booking with Thomas Cook, we fly out to Lanzerote for one week on Sunday
The flight is scheduled to leave at 8.50 am
Any ideas on the weather this side of the Atlantic? That Bay of Biscay tends to sometimes get a bit bumpy for some reason.
Many thanks,
Falcon

Can have a squint. The bay of Biscay is famous for bad sea storms and all that action works its way into the air.

Sorry about the way out, now for the journey home. All clear for Spain, Biscay some thundery cloud but all 22,000 feet. There is a strong jetstream in the Channel but at 34,000 feet so you should go over it. The only snag is an occluded front in the Bristol channel which could be nasty. This is only the 0600z chart and the fronts will move but not much. Seat belt fastened throughout this flight I think.

Thanks Royd,
The seat belt sign stayed off the whole of the flight!
We did have about 2 hours of what I think you may call very light chop ( feels like you are on a train) from about Portugal until we were over the Bay of Biscay.
Some very thick cloud coming in to Manchester , took ages to get through it but for some reason it was not bumpy.
The flight was short due to high tail winds. took just 3 hours 40 minutes.
We had a captain a first officer and a flight instructor on this flight ? reason?
The plane was a 757/300.
That is it for me until October when we go to Florida.

Most probable a Lime check. The trainer rides on the jump seat and watches the crew work normaly. Happens once a year.
