Hey Royd, I asked Captain Ray this question...

In Europe, and other parts of the world, is it the same? Does the Captain always sit on the left?

This question comes up alot. I dont think any one really knows and maritime tradition is cited. No matter where in the world The Captain sits on the left. WW2 Bombers like the Lancaster were interesting as the right seat had zero instruments for the co pilot. To really get your head scratching, for helicopters it is the reverse. The Captain sits on the left. No-one pretends to know why there are a cuople of theories.
