Hello!

What is the weirdest thing you have ever seen whilst flying?

I have seen the sunset, twice.

I have seen the concrete ramps in France used in the second world war to launch V1s in to London.

I have seen meteor showers and space junk burn up in the atmosphere.

The all time wierdest so far was over France when it looked like two moons. It was a contrail on the horizon being lit by the sun below the horizon and it looked like a second moon and took me and the Captain ages to figure out what it was.

If I remember any more I'll let you know

Have you ever seen a UFO?

Nope, sorry and nothing that even could closely resemble one.

I saw a heart shaped red baloon zip past my cockpit left window at about 120 knots at 4000 feet. It must have been 20 feet away from me.

Scared the living hell out of me. it was during St.Valentine.

I saw one of those dam silver helium things at 1500 feet in a 152 heading towards the airfield I had just left. Menace arent they?

you see one of them things coming at ya and even if they are just paper filled with helium still gives you a good scare.

They are too flimsy to even be a bother ... probably would get vaporized by the propellor.

If it gets entangled in one of the controls it might cause a headache but I dont' think it would endanger the flight.

I am just not keen on seeing things too much up close when I am up there, no matter what it is.

As a general rule I don't fly formation with ducks. They are all un-licensed pilots.
