Jeff,

Tommorow is a new day, pick yourself up, brush yourself off and start all over again.

You have done so well please do not give up now.

How many did you smoke a day???? Would it help if we put a daily money saved chart up with our slimming chart?

:grouphug: You can beat this!!!!!

Jeff,

Trust me on this one, You have got to make an absolute commitment to giving up smoking.I know I tried and failed so many times before eventually giving up many years ago.

Get rid of the cigarettes that keep on saying come smoke me one last time it does not work.

Don't buy any, don't keep any in the house.

It has got to be your decision and we will support your decision all the way.

It is a really hard thing to do, people do not realise how hard it is to give up and how addictive smoking is.
I think the turning point for me was I suddenly realised that this little white stick had total control over me ( I like to be in control) I held the stick up looked at it, I said out loud NO MORE, I will not be controlled by a stick!

I stamped the ciggarette in to the ground and never smoked another one.

My family thanked me for it, my children said they were worried about me dying from a smoking related disease. My daughter Genevieve said she hated the smell of smoke on me.

I had never realised how smoking had also affected my family.

Anyhow Jeff best of luck, and throw away the sticks.

Do not get down on yourself about slipping up. I did that for about 3 years before my now DH said he would leave me if I didn't quit. Well I did and I relapsed of course. But I finally quit cold turkey and never regretted it. I know you can do it!

Jennifer - congrats on quitting! How did you finally do it? My sister has smoked for decades and had tried every patch and pill known to man and cant quite quit.
