I am looking for 1 RT ticket to bloomington december first thru the 5th. Prefer a mid-morning flight on the first and an afternoon flight home... Why am I posting this? Many of you are frequent flyers. I am buying my wife a ticket to fly home to her parents/grandparents for her b-day. I get to babysit:dunno
The fact that some of you are FF's means some might know where to get the best fare!! I have tried cheaptickets.com and best I find is around 250.00
If anyone is bored and wants to help me find a cheaper flight, I'd appreciate it!!! I know there are tons of good sites for cheap tix, I just dont know where they are:)

Jeff,
$250 is a pretty darned good fare. Most of my trips are planned under 5 days advanced notice so I usually pay through the teeth (or my company does rather). I've looked at the usual suspects (Travelocity, priceline...etc) and can't beat your price. However, I would CALL the airlines personally if I were you. They will OFTEN give you lower fare quotes even when compared to their online site.
I'll keep looking for ya though.

Buddy, If you can get that flight for $250.00, I would jump on it!
Unless you want to go on...

The absolute CHEAPEST place I have found is www.sidestep.com . You download a program that automatically searches ALL the other websites for you any time you go on a travel site.
Example: I go to www.delta.com and look up airfare for my trip from CHS to LAX. A side window pops up and gives me the rates for ALL the other carriers with availability. 99% of the time they find the cheapest rates. You can use them for airfare, hotels and rental cars. They even check the Travelocity, Orbitz, hotwire, etc.. type of websites.
$250 is good, Jeff, to such a small airport like Bloomington. Grab it!
