Daytona 500 is tomorrow!!! Make sure to watch it!

While it seems Mark and I are the only NASCAR fans here, I would encourage anyone home tomorrow to tune in to this race. This is the first and BIGGEST race of the year.

200 laps around a 2.5 mile track. When one car gets sideways, usually 10 others go out with him. Very exciting racing, yet very dangerous.. Dale Earnhardt died on this track, as did others.

Anyways, in an attempt to recruit more fans, at least keep it in the "picture in picture" box!

Go Dale Earnhardt Junior!!!!!! Mark, you might be in some trouble with Rusty now that Bakersfield boy crashed his primary car..

I love speed weeks.... Jeff

Alright, not to offend anyone but I have never been a NASCAR fan. I could never understand the point of watching people make left turns for 4 hours. With that said, I tuned in to the end of the Daytona 500 and WOW!!! What a finish. I don't know if I will become a fan but I definitely understand now what the draw is. Also, I am surprised by how much strategy there is. I figured it was "go fast, turn, and get ahead of everyone else". I didn't realize all the different kinds of drafting and helping that goes on. Pretty cool. I especially liked when you got to listen in to the spotters directing their cars through crashes.

Jeff... Yep going to the race Sunday... not putting the RV in the infield since it is in the shop from the mishap.

Very good race! And I am glad that NASCAR finally got their head out of the ground and figured out folks don't like to see finishes under the yellow!

If you think watching hours of cars turning left is boring you havent seen Formula one. I got introduced to Nascar by being the only English guy in a trailer full of Americans on Daytona day. Of all the cars that started only 20 finished, now that is a real race.
