Hi,

I'll be flying tomorrow from BOS-FLL (definitely looking forward to warmer weather) and back on Tuesday. Trying Song for the first time. I've heard great things (especially from Debbie!). This is my first domestic flight in over three years, so that feels a little weird, especially since my last ones were not great and they were to Florida. Also, Debbie keeps teasing me because I keep calling the 757 a "small" plane (I really do know it isn't, but my flights over the past few years have been on 767s and 777s).

I'm doing much better than usual with anticipatory anxiety, which means that now I am worrying about not worrying!

I did hear it might be a little windy tomorrow and that does make me somewhat nervous. Mostly though I'm trying to focus on not seeing omens!

I'm so grateful to have this board. I'll write a trip report (because I love reading everyone else's so much).

For what it's worth, I was shooting crosswind landings the other day in a Piper Archer. No problemo!! If that little bird can handle it, trust me a little wind is nothing to even give a second thought to in a 757. Where will you be sitting in the plane???

Thanks for the reassurance about the wind. We'll be sitting in row 14 on the way and row 20 on the way back (over the wing I think).

That's a nice place to sit, especially in a 757. The thing is, the 757 is pretty long, so if you sit in the very aft section of the aircraft, you get more side-to-side motion in the seat of your pants. It can be a little less comfortable, especially if it is choppy. Near the wing is great. Since everything pretty much turns about that axis, you get less movement there.

Thanks! I'm glad to know you think the seats are perfect. I usually try to get seats over the wing. I've been in the back of planes before and it is definitely bumpier. One time was on an MD-80, and that was very noisy with the rear engines!

Hi,

Sean, Debbie is right about the temperature. 67 sounds very warm to me (actually the 40s don't sound so bad either!). :)

Wow, lots of us are flying tomorrow!

Jamie

p.s. Thanks for the wind lecture, Deb. I needed that! I do remember your trip now, but of course didn't remember it when I was getting nervous.
