See, you were smart and did the kids already...I was nerdy and stuck in hospitals all through my 20s and did not meet anyone...so now my goal is to be an elderly mother.

Hey - in case I didn't say this - I enjoyed hearing about your job when you were so nice to post all that info...so interesting and so unlike what I do :). I guess I was just curious what it's like.

I will be down your way in Feb, actually...this just occurred to me...prob you're traveling but let me give you my info in case it works out that we could meet up.
I'm staying in Florence, SC (not that close to you I don't think) on Monday night, Feb 21. Then spending Tuesday driving to Amelia Island where I will be for 5 days at a conference. I'm in no great hurry Tues and I don't think the drive will take more than 6 hours or so. If you're around and want to meet up for lunch, I could happily detour...

How FUN! Thanks for the kind words about the job. I love it but sometimes I feel weird talking about it.

Why on EARTH are you staying in Florence??? That's actually less than 2 hours from me - we used to drive up there for hockey games all the time. Charleston is actually just 45 minutes down I-26 where it crosses I-95. I"ll email you my number.

I am planning/hoping/praying to be in NYC for President's Day weekend but I would fly back Sunday nite or Monday early AM.

Well, actually, I am DRIVING to Amelia Island. For many reasons...I actually love long drives, I haven't done one in about 3 years, Duncan can't come with me and I don't want to fly alone, and it will give me extra time to chill, etc. So, Florence is about how far I think I can go from Delaware, where I am staying the first night. When I used to drive to Fla I would always stop at the Magnolia Mall in Florence right off 95 and have lunch, so I am familiar with the exit.

I have been to Charleston. Once, in 1991. It was beautiful...it was also August...ugh. So, yeah, if you are around Tues maybe we can meet up.
