Sorry it has taken me so long to get this last one posted, but yall know I made it! ha ha

This flight, although long, was non-eventful. The total flight time was almost 13 hours. And get this... the seat belt light went off about 30 minutes after we took off, and did not come on again until we were about to land!!! NOT ONCE!

There was some minor turb over Canada, and I thought they were going to light up the sign, but never did.

The views were not that great as it was raining off and on when we left London, and it was fairly hazy the entire trip.

The route was different. We took off and flew north up the entire length of Britain, and although we usually fly south of Iceland, we flew over it this time. Then Greenland, Northern Canada, into the US Northwest, Northern California, and on into LA. We went much further north this time than I have been before, or I have seen them go on the flight trackers.

I did get to meet the pilots again, but again no photos allowed of the cockpit. What is cool on the 747 is the little break room the pilots have. It is accessed from the cockpit, and is a small room, about the size of a walk-in closet. Has a bunk, with reading lights etc.

Anyways... on with the slide show... Again the views were not that great...

It was raining off and on when we departed London Heathrow...

No problems with anxiety. I had been in England for almost three weeks, and loved it. But was ready to get home. Can only live out of a suitcase so long!

Boarded the plane, found my seat. Same as last time, window seat up front. Same entertainment system as on the plane coming out.

Soon we were all ready to go and headed for the runway. We did not taxi for long, and promptly took the runway, and began our roll, and take-off... nice and smooth...

As we went through the clouds there was a slight bit of turbulence, but soon enough were above them, and coming over Central England

As we reached cruise, the seat-belt sign went out, and I moved about the aircraft.

As indicated, the views were not that great, cloudy and hazy most of the way. But I could keep track of where we were with the Skymap.

We went over Iceland, but the view was not good... sorry!

It continued to be hazy and cloudy over Greenland. Then as we approached Northern Canada, it began to clear some. According to the map, we were way north of any routes I had seen before...

These views were about as amazing as those of Greenland going over...

The clouds continued off and on as we went over Canada, and down into the United States. Finally as we approached Southern California the clouds disappeared...

And then the California coast... But the haze and clouds returned...

We flew south along the California Coast, and made a turn east for our downwind leg along LAX. Here is LAX from the air!

Made our "U" turn back toward LAX for our final...

A little closer, and then in for a nice sweet landing!

Wonderful pics again Mark!

I long for a flight over the pond where the seatbelt signs don't come on!!!!

I always seem to get the jiggles! ( capt Ray's new word)
